If you're looking for a hotel away from the main tourist areas, then this is the ideal hotel. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights in Sept. The rooms were comfortable and clean, if not a little dated, however that added to the authentic experience for us. Staff were friendly and helpful, although the language barrier was difficult at times. Great location for the beach and local restaurants nearby. If you arrive after 3pm, you will struggle to find somewhere local to eat until 730pm as none of the restaurants, including the hotel restaurant, served food until 730pm.
Beautiful place, kind service, clean and tidy.
Service speaks mainly in Italian except reception.

This is a gem of a hotel. It's wonderful that you have the choice of swimming in the pool or direct beach access for a beach swim. The room was clean and comfortable. There are restaurant nearby if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Parking fees apply for the hotel. We definitely recommend staying here
Location for the beach was amazing. The service (mainly from the breakfast staff) was amazing but the rooms although very clean were a little dated. Also the AC was not able to be turned on in any of the three rooms we had and the hot water on day one was non existent due we were told to a large coach party who used all the water up

Good location close to beach. Room very small, tired decor. Bathroom very poor,little corner shower, luke warm water all the time. Breakfast buffet OK but if you were late you missed popular items and very very difficult to get replacement. Did not eat in restuarant, same menu every day and evening. Dining options outside hotel 10 to 30 mins walk. You need a car as nothing close for entertainment.
This hotel needs some renovation work done as they have a big mold problem, probably because their AC is leaking somewhere! We also had some mold in our room and got another one without any problems. The whole building is quite old and needs some work done. As we told the staff about the mold they just tried to paint it white the next day. The location is good and the beach and pool are nice. The dining room is quite beautiful, but the breakfast is rather 3 star then 4, as we had do drink from plastic cups instead of glasses etc., I cannot recommend this hotel!
I went on holiday in this lovely place near my home city all the way back from London. It was good to be back and even better to stay at Villa romana. Located near the sea with some nice spot also inside the Hotel like the pool and the break area. Food is superlative and the personnel really friendly. 100% suggested to a fully relaxing stay. Special mention to the kindness of the owner Salvatore, super nice and gentle person.
